Despite the name, a bird called hawk warbler does not belong to a predatory order. This is a relatively small individual, which has nothing in common with large winged birds, except for the root word. The only thing in which the characteristics of these two species of birds can be repeated is in the body color of the males. Description

  1. Males are gray with an ash tint. Brownish blotches on its plumage are seen poorly. On the chest there is a transverse pattern that stretches along the abdominal region to the area under the tail. Also this picture goes to the side parts.
  2. The irises are yellow-brown, the pupils are black. The wings are brownish, dark, a pair of longitudinal stripes is visible on them. On the fly feathers there is a whitish peak. The figure, located across, consists of hemispheres of dark tone. It is observed above the tail and on the shoulder blades.
  3. The shade of the beak is dark; light inclusions are present at its base. The dark tip is similar, and sometimes a yellowish pigment is visible in the middle. Legs are gray with yellowness. Individuals of male gender are the brightest, standing out among young animals and beautiful ladies.
  4. The females, in turn, do not differ in the bright color of feathers. They are dull, like young animals up to a year. The upper part of the body is pigmented in a grayish color with a brown tint. In the lower section of the case there is a pattern resembling scales. It is better seen under the tail and on the sides. Eyes change color depending on the season. For example, in the autumn, they are brownish, and in the spring yellow.
