Description

  1. Mushrooms are quite difficult to confuse with self-similar. They differ from the relatives of the forest flora in form and pigmentation. The specimen grows in height up to 10 cm. With a thickness of about 3.5-4.5 cm. In the natural environment, fruiting giants were found, stretching to 15 cm or more.
  2. The hat resembles a cone elongated upwards in format. It is about 5-7 cm high, sometimes more. The diameter of the tip varies between 2-4 cm. The color of the cap is pigmented with all tones of brown, including greenish and chocolate. There are other instances painted black.
  3. The hat along the edges fuses with the base. The inside of the leg is empty. The hat is porous with cells, they are located top-down. The cells are separated by special partitions; according to external data, this whole structure is similar to cells or a grid. In some cases, the tops of these morels may not be cone-shaped, but rounded.
  4. The diameter of the base varies from 1 to 2 cm. At a height of 5 cm. Approximately. The leg is pigmented yellow with white blotches. But the color changes depending on the age of a particular instance. The leg is somewhat similar to rubber, straightened in shape, like a cylinder, oblong grooves are present. Cartilage interior, hollow.
  5. Reproduction is carried out by spores that are elliptical in shape and are painted cream-white. No oil droplets. Taste and smell are absent, even if mushrooms were cooked. The soft part breaks easily, it is thin and white. It dries quickly, slightly moistened below.
  6. As for the duration of growth, these fungi are considered the earliest. They begin to bear fruit at the end of the first month of spring, this lasts until the end of the season. If the spring is long and wet, then mushrooms can be found in the summer. Growth is carried out slowly.

Spread

  1. The discussed mushrooms do not have uniform distribution in European countries. Fruit bodies are most often found in the tundra, mountains and throughout the forest zone. In addition, mushrooms prefer to grow in a well-warmed area, they are thermophilic.
  2. Very often such specimens are found in forest clearings, places of conflagration, in coniferous and mixed forests, on sandy and calcareous soil. Often fruiting bodies can be found in parks, glades, landfills and forest edges. Morels prefer carrion, so they often grow under fruit trees in orchards.
