Brigitte's analysis is a small nimble and nimble fish of the cyprinid family, which can often be found in the aquariums of most amateur and professional aquarists. The size of the fish in the adult state reaches about 2-3 cm.

Brigitte's homeland is considered Borneo. Often, this fish is confused with a look like Firefly Parse. This is due to the external similarity of these two subspecies of cyprinids. Nevertheless, the main difference of brigitte is a characteristic dark strip on the surface of the body with its border (in males - red, in females - orange). Firefly fish have fringes of a golden or greenish hue.

When creating all the necessary conditions in the aquarium, which are ideal for keeping different types of fish, Brigitte Rasbor can live in it for up to 4 years (regardless of gender).

Appearance

As mentioned above - the average sizes of boraras brigitta reach 2-3 cm. Fish of this species are very beautiful and bright, thanks to which they will become a real decoration of any aquarium. You can recognize the fish among other species by the characteristic strip along the entire body with a border, the color of which helps to distinguish where the female is and where the male is. This strip stretches from the branchial part to the tail and ends with a spot resembling a wedge in shape. The very color of the brigitte body itself is red, however, as the individual is older, the temokras becomes brighter and more saturated. The sexually mature females of Rasbor Brigitte are often slightly larger in size than the males of this species, while their abdomen is more rounded.

Also, a very important point in the design of the aquarium for the maintenance of Rasbori is the lighting of the aquarium. Precise lighting is best suited for these purposes, where some areas will be well lit, while others will be darkened. This is due to the fact that these fish choose bright places for flirting or games. Accordingly, a shadow and secluded places away from prying eyes are suitable for relaxation.

In the natural environment of Rasbor, Brigitte prefers ponds with a moderate course, therefore, the presence of a special filter for intensive pumping should be provided in the aquarium, which will help in creating the flow necessary for the fish. As for lighting, it should be close to natural. Water is replaced every 10-14 days (from 30 to 50% of the total).

Feeding Features

Under natural conditions, these small and nimble cyprinids feed on zooplankton, worms, and insects of small sizes. Maintenance in a home aquarium implies that a variety of feeds can be used for feeding Rasbori: both live and frozen food (cyclops, daphnia, artemia). The diet must be alternated - live food with dry food.Food should be fortified, this will help make the color of the fish more saturated.

Coexistence with other species: what to consider

Brigitte's favorite society is shrimp. To do this, you can add shrimp species such as Cherry or Red crystals to the aquarium with fish. Also, with Rasbor Brigitta, both fairly small fish species and fairly large individuals get along well, for example: a galaxy, neons, and chain catfish. The latter will not cause Brigitte any harm, since basically their diet includes exclusively food of plant origin.

If too large and aggressive-minded species are adjacent to Brigitte in the aquarium, in this case this small fish will constantly hide in the thickets of vegetation.

Due to the good survival of the offspring of Brigitte Rasbori, even novice aquarists who have only initial experience in such an important business can reproduce it. Males reach maturity and maximum growth by ten months. In females, this time comes a little earlier. In order for the fish to spawn successfully, the owner of the fish should choose the dominant mature male, whose age should be more than 2 years. Spawning of these fish implies two types - single or group.

The spawning process itself should be carried out in this way: for starters, the aquarist should drop the females of Rassbor Bregetta into a separate aquarium or glass container up to 10 liters. As a rule, this is done 10-14 days before the start of the planned spawning. It is important to understand that a small tank for jaiting individuals is a solution for spawning. If group spawning is required - in this case it is better to allocate an additional aquarium with a volume of at least 40 liters. A separator screen is laid at the bottom of the prepared aquarium or tank. For successful spawning, the following conditions should also be fulfilled: water temperature indicators should correspond to such numbers - 27-28 degrees. The optimum acidity of the water is not more than 6.5 with a hardness of up to 7 °.

Pair spawning implies that Brigitte females, as a rule, lay a sufficiently large number of eggs - about 300. That is, each individual gives up to 50 transparent eggs with a clean yellowish tint. After which they are fertilized by the male.

Although the fry of this fish of the cyprinid family are miniature in size, nevertheless, until they grow up, they are quite able to independently find food for themselves (various microorganisms with feed, including detritus).

To feed the already grown fry, infusoria, rotifers, artemia, etc. are used. With a good feed, Brigitte kids grow up quickly.
