In the medicine cabinet of modern man there is a thousand and one remedies for fever. Traditional analgin and acetylsalicylic acid, "Ibuprofen" and "Panadol" in a few minutes will relieve the heat and related symptoms. But synthetic drugs hit the liver, stomach and kidneys, change the composition of the blood. A safer option from the heat is folk remedies that help the body fight infection, but do not harm health.

Healthy berries

At elevated temperatures, heavy drinking is recommended. Warm teas and decoctions save the body from dehydration and stimulate sweating. Antipyretic and antibacterial properties have:

  • berries of viburnum;
  • cranberry;
  • dried fruits, for example, dried apricots or raisins;
  • berries and raspberry leaves;
  • black and red currants;
  • Strawberry.

Dried berries are brewed with boiling water for 10-15 minutes, and then they drink fruit tea with the addition of honey. Raspberry or strawberry jam, which is diluted with hot water, is also suitable. Fresh berries of cranberries or viburnum are ground with sugar and eat, washed down with currant or chamomile broth.

Dried fruits are steamed for 20-30 minutes, and after that they use both compote and raisins with dried apricots.

Lemon lowers temperature and supports immunity. Citruses are added to tea, eaten with sugar or honey, a febrifuge is prepared from them:

Vinegar is a powerful diaphoretic. A nine percent table or apple option will do. Dissolve a tablespoon of vinegar in a liter of cool water, moisten a terry towel or a piece of cotton cloth in the liquid.

Undress the patient to underwear. Treat the lower and upper limbs with vinegar, put a compress on the forehead and change every 2-3 minutes. Does the thermometer show that the temperature has risen above 39 degrees? In the solution, moisten cotton socks and put on for 30–40 minutes.

If you have a fever, it is useful to use a salad made from onions, honey and apples. Products should be taken in equal proportions. Grate vegetables and fruits or finely chop, season with honey. Eat a tablespoon of apple and onion paste three times a day.

  1. The temperature in the room in which the patient is located should be within + 20-23 degrees. If the room is stuffy, it should be aired.
  2. Do not use humidifiers. They worsen perspiration and create favorable conditions for the multiplication of infections and viruses.
