How to clean a water cooler at home

Experts recommend cleaning the cooler every six months, but it is advisable to wash the device every 2-3 months or more often. Water, even distilled, leaves a thin film on the walls of the tubes, in which bacteria appear over time. The taste and smell of the liquid change, it becomes hazardous to health.

Preparatory stage

This method will improve the taste of the water and prolong the operation of the device, but you need to get rid of the remains of the disinfecting component with clean water. It is poured inside with a thin stream, released through open taps. Repeat the procedure several times. It is not recommended to use tap water, in which there are a lot of bacteria and harmful impurities.

It remains to check whether the drain plug is firmly attached to the body, to return to place the drip tray and a clean bottle collector. Connect the cooler to the mains, not forgetting to install a new water bottle. Turn on heating to make sure all systems are working.

Tip: Before drinking water from the cooler, you should take a glass of hot and cold liquid and pour it into the sink. If there is a strange taste, flush the device again.
